The flag travels through the system. SafeCard Alert travels with the person.

The NHS Reasonable Adjustments Digital Flag becomes mandatory from 30 September 2026. It carries vital information through NHS systems. SafeCard Alert is its companion — the person's own record that reaches everywhere the NHS system doesn't.

SafeCard Alert does not replace the emergency services. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 999 first.

What it does

Awareness is not the same as information.

Oliver McGowan was 18. He was autistic and had a learning disability. He was given medication he had specifically said he did not want, that was contraindicated for his condition. He died. His death led to the Health and Care Act 2022. The training creates awareness. SafeCard Alert provides the individual information that turns awareness into the right action.

Tier 4

Full clinical access — authenticated

  • NHS email address + PIN unlocks the complete clinical record
  • All conditions, medications, allergies — kept current by the person or a linked carer
  • DNACPR status, organ donor status, registered GP with tap-to-call
  • Every access logged with timestamp and tier — full audit trail
Tier 1

Public access — zero friction

  • Paramedics, A&E staff and strangers: no sign-in, just tap the card
  • How to help right now, what not to do, one-tap private carer call
  • Read-aloud — the profile speaks itself while the responder works on the patient
  • 2D body map for non-verbal patients to show exactly where it hurts

Built for the NHS estate

  • On the assurance pathway for NHS DTAC, DSPT and DCB0129
  • UK GDPR vital interests basis for emergency access — lawful by design
  • MFA and hardware-backed encrypted storage throughout
  • View only — profiles cannot be saved, copied or screenshotted

RADF companion — not a replacement

  • The NHS RADF has 203 tickboxes. SafeCard Alert has the person's words.
  • The RADF helps information travel through NHS systems. SafeCard travels with the person.
  • Complements existing NHS systems — does not require integration
  • G-Cloud procurement route available from Q2 2027

Printable hospital badge & QR sticker World first

  • Before any planned admission, the member prints a personalised badge — clinical staff scan it for live Tier 4 access throughout the stay
  • QR sticker placed on the physical hospital file gives every clinician — from the consultant to the agency nurse on night shift — the same real-time profile access
  • Replaces the paper Hospital Passport entirely: always current, never left at home, never seen by one person and lost
  • If the profile is updated mid-admission, the badge still points to the latest version — no reprint needed

Secure document vault Coming soon

  • Encrypted upload and storage of legally and clinically significant documents — powers of attorney, deputyship orders, DNACPR decisions, advance care plans and statements, Lasting Powers of Attorney (health and welfare / property and financial affairs), court-appointed deputyship, and capacity assessments
  • Also: EHCPs, Individual Support Plans, school healthcare plans, hospital passports, discharge summaries, community care plans, and specialist correspondence
  • Documents accessible to the appropriate tier at point of care — clinical staff see what they need, when they need it, without chasing paper
  • AI-assisted extraction reads uploaded documents and pre-fills profile fields — reviewed and confirmed before saving
  • Identification photo upload — photograph of the person, belongings, wheelchair or mobility aid — directly strengthens Herbert Protocol and missing person pathway

40+ language translation

Your profile translates for whoever scans it. A Polish family sets up a card for a grandparent with little English — the paramedic sees the profile in English. A British traveller abroad — the local responder sees it in their language.

This is different from AAC

Translation = the profile appears in the responder's language.
AAC = for people who can't speak — the board speaks for them.

Privacy by design

You control your profile. Responders can read it. Nobody can copy it, save it, or keep it. And you can see exactly who has seen it.

View only — profiles cannot be saved, copied, screenshotted or shared
Full audit log — you see every scan, every access, every tier, with timestamp
Automatic timeout — profiles close after a set period, every time
Remote card disable — lost or stolen card stopped instantly from your account
Carer privacy — their phone number and home address are never shown to callers
World first

Show exactly where it hurts. Without saying a word.

Tap the exact location and type of pain on an anatomical diagram — giving a responder clinical precision without a single word spoken. Available in male and female, front and back.

Select a pain type below, then tap the body. Every entry is time-stamped and included in the profile a responder reads.
